Programs
Our Impact
Reel Life’s programming is designed to offer youth experiences that are uniquely found in fishing and connecting with nature. We believe in the inherent wellness benefits derived from these activities and incorporate them into our approach to mentoring. Central to our mission is the cultivation of life skills and the fostering of positive relationships, both with dedicated mentors and among peers. Through the transformative power of fishing and immersion in nature, we aim to instill not only practical skills but also a holistic sense of well-being, personal growth, and a supportive community for the youth we serve.
Water activities
Water activities include fishing from shore, dock, and boat which takes place during the summer months.
Land activities
Land activities include field trips, guest speakers, experiential learning, and other fun events which takes place during the school year months.
“Give a person a fish, feed them for a day. Teach a person to fish, feed them for a lifetime.”
RLI programming lasts for 12 months, starting in April and ending in March. Because Reel Life’s programming is sequential and in order to create and strengthen peer relationships in the group, new groups only start once per year. Registration is from January-March.
